At YAMS, we understand that Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) can be a perturbing time for parents and students. These tests evaluate students’ educational progress at the end of Years 2 and 6 and are applied as a benchmark to determine student progress with the National Curriculum.

As experienced teachers, we have an excellent understanding of these exams and their requirements. Being cognizant of the different teaching styles and the recognition that every child is different, we’re therefore empowered to provide a tailored teaching plan for your individual child’s learning. Development within the early stages of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, Year 1 and Year 2, is mainly focussed on building a foundation of inquisitiveness and a thirst for learning. Key Stage 2 progress (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6) builds upon this foundation with the added passion and technical knowledge in English, Maths and Science.
